Are you a student taking FIPCC this year?

Welcome to 1Health! As a student enrolled in the Foundations of Interprofessional Communication and Collaboration (FIPCC) course, you are embarking on an exciting journey in interprofessional collaboration. This orientation to interprofessional communication and collaboration is an important step on your journey toward becoming a collaboration-ready health professional.

In the FIPCC course, you will be introduced to the concepts of teamwork and communication to support how you and your colleagues will work together to care for patients/clients through collaborative approaches. This year, FIPCC will be offered ONLINE via five live Zoom sessions, and one online asynchronous module, based upon the course schedule detailed below.

Each FIPCC group will consist of an interprofessional combination of 30-40 students and 1-2 faculty facilitators. During the live Zoom sessions, students will interact with both the full large group and with smaller groups of 5-8 students for discussions and learning activities.  These sessions will also be supported by online resources and course materials to effectively demonstrate the importance of interprofessional communication and collaboration in health and health care.
