New IPE Activity Submissions

In 2018, the CIH team developed formal IPE activity criteria to establish a common understanding of the required elements for all University of Minnesota interprofessional education courses and activities.  These criteria set a consistent standard for high quality interprofessional experiences for learners and foster a holistic approach to the creation and implementation of curricular and co-curricular IPE initiatives designed to prepare health professional and affiliated students as a collaborative practice-ready workforce.

In addition to curriculum developed and coordinated by the CIH interprofessional team, many other valuable opportunities exist for health professional students to learn about, from, and with one another. These interprofessional learning opportunities have arisen through intentional partnerships between the schools, colleges and programs of the Academic Health Sciences and beyond.

We invite UMN faculty and staff from any health professions program to submit an existing IPE activity for 1Health approval as an interprofessional experience. Participation in all 1Health-approved activities is tracked in students' online IPE portfolio.

Scholarship Opportunities. Faculty and learners who are interested in scholarship opportunities related to the field of interprofessional education are encouraged to develop scholarly publications and presentations to share innovative IPE activities with a broader audience.

Increased Access to IPE for Learners. Increased awareness of your IPE activity may promote new collaborations that allow additional learners to  join existing interprofessional opportunities.
